An Eventful Year 2019

Dear friends, supporters and prayer warriors,

Lots of things happened in the las year, sometimes it is hard to believe.

What has happened so far

An eventful year lies behind us. It all began with first meetings in January and lots of planning and thinking from February until April. We formed a team and had our first Bible Study in summer and outreach concerts in October. Finally, we found the facilities in which we now have already had our first Sunday services. We give thanks to our faithful Lord who made it all possible. The question is now of course the following:

What’s next?

We, as Grace Church Berlin, are meeting every Sunday morning for services and we rent a room for this purpose on Sunday morning only. However, since we want to reach out to the neighbourhood, we need more of a presence in the area. This is why we will look around for another room, so that we can establish a point of contact in this district during the week. Through a little café or coffeeshop, an office, weekly events and other things, we will try to reach out to the community and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost people of Berlin.

Travelling the U.S. and Canada

In preparation for the launch of this new coffeeshop outreach, we have been encouraged by our missions agency and the sending elders of Bibelgemeinde to plan a tour in North America and Canada with the purpose of gathering a financial support team for this project.

If you think your church would like to participate and partner with us, or know someone who would like to do that, please let us know and we will plan you into our itinerary.

We plan to come between May 11th until August 4th of 2020, beginning in Seattle, driving down the west coast to L.A. area and from there across the united states through Colorado, Texas, Kentucky all the way to New York and New Braunschweig Canada.

Please pray for us as we continue to plan and prepare for this trip. We are so excited to see many of you again and fellowship with you. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all of you.

Ein Ereignisreiches Jahr 2019

Liebe Freunde, Beter und Unterstützer,

viel ist geschehen und manchmal kann man es gar nicht richtig fassen.

Was bisher geschah…

Ein sehr ereignisreiches Jahr liegt hinter uns.

Angefangen bei den ersten Sitzungen im Januar, viel Planen und Durchdenken im Februar bis April, über die Teamfindung und den ersten Hauskreis im Sommer, über evangelistische Konzerte im Oktober bis hin zum Finden einer passenden Räumlichkeit dürfen wir jetzt bereits an dem Punkt angelangt sein, an dem wir offiziell als Gnadengemeinde Berlin die ersten Gottesdienste feiern. Wir sind dem Herrn einfach sehr dankbar für alles Gelingen und allen Segen, den wir im Laufe dieses Jahres erleben durften.

Die Frage, die sich jetzt natürlich stellt ist folgende:

Wie geht es jetzt weiter?

Die Gnadengemeinde trifft sich am Sonntag zum Gottesdienst und mietet dafür günstige Räumlichkeiten nur für den jeweiligen Sonntag an. Wir möchten aber den Bezirk erreichen und auch mehr Präsenz zeigen, daher planen wir im nächsten Jahr, uns nach einer weiteren Räumlichkeit umzuschauen. Dieser etwas kleinere Raum soll eine Anlaufstelle unter der Woche sein, wo es Büros gibt und auch eine Art Café oder Treffpunkt, wo wir mit den Leuten aus dem Kiez in Kontakt kommen wollen.

Reisedienst in die USA und Kanada

Um diesen weiteren Dienst zu finanzieren, wollen wir als Familie auf einen längeren Reisedienst gehen, um Gemeinden, Freunde und Unterstützer in Nordamerika und Kanada zu suchen, die sich unserem Projekt, Berlin-Pankow mit dem Evangelium zu erreichen, anschließen wollen.

Bitte betet für ein gutes Gelingen der weiteren Vorbereitungen dieses Reisedienstes. Wir werden als Familie ungefähr 3 Monate lang unterwegs sein und ca. 15.000 km fahren.
